As one of the newest members of the Pro team, Amanda comes all the way from Seattle, WA. After growing up as a competitive volleyball player then later transitioning to recreational weightlifting, she has always enjoyed physical activity. It was this love of activity that guided her to her first Bachelors degrees in Exercise Science. After completing that degree, she grew frustrated with trying to figure out “the right” way to eat. It was this frustration that drove her to go back to school for nutrition and to become a dietitian. She continued her education by completing a Masters in Nutritional Sciences, emphasizing in Sports Nutrition.

To become a registered dietitian, she had to complete over 1,000 internship hours in various food-related venues. She’s had a wide variety of experiences ranging from a:

  • Personal chef for a private company
  • Nutrition educator at the local food bank
  • Fueling station volunteer with the University of Washington Football team
  • Menu analyzer for a meal delivery service
  • Intern counselor at an outpatient eating disorder clinic
  • Intern at a sports physical therapy facility

Amanda is very passionate about nutrition and wants to help people sift through all the nutrition information. She does not believe that there is a “one size fits all” approach to eating, but that everyone is unique. Her goal is to help you understand how you should be eating specifically for your body, and how nutrition can support your goals.
