The total approach to Sport-Specific training has four components.
* The first is injury prevention. Injury is the primary element which reduces peak performance.
* The second is improving physical skills. Physical skills are speed, strength, agility, aerobic and anaerobic endurance and explosive power.
* The third component is blending the physical skills with sport specific skills and applying them to the technical and tactical aspects of each sport.
*The final component is enhancing the Athlete's performance with the assistance from mental preparation and training.
